As the name suggests, Scratch is a game, where you will be playing scratch cards with a twist. We say with a twist for a couple of reasons, all of which we will discuss below. But first, let’s talk about the interface.

Once you open the game, you will be met by a very simple, yet charming interface. The background of the playfield is orange/red. The most soothing and relaxing kind.

Aside from that, you have the layout itself. It contains 4×3 tiles, which are orange before you reveal them. The symbols contained in the tiles are Horse shoe, Seven, and Lucky clover. On the layout, there are 5 Sevens, 4 Clovers, and 3 Horse Shoes (making up a total of 12 tiles). But enough about the design, let’s talk about the rules and gameplay.

The game begins once you place a bet. The betting table is shown on the right side of the playing field. You will see that there are a couple of options. You will be getting to bet anywhere from $0.10 up to $100.

You also have to option to increase your bet depending on whether you’ve lost or you’ve won. For example, in order to win back the previously betted amount, you can multiply your current amount by 2x.

Now, once you’ve made your bet, you just need to click “Start”. This is when the game begins.

The goal here is to reveal multiple symbols of the same kind, you have 3 tries per round, meaning you can only open 3 tiles.. Above the playing field, you will see a multiplier table. This shows you what your prize will be if you reveal any of the 3 symbols.

We will give examples with each and every symbol and its multiplier.

If you land 1 of any of the symbols, you lose your bet.

If you land 2 Sevens, you will be getting a 0.4x multiplier. This means you will lose some of your initial bet, but not all of it. If you land 3 of Seven, you get a 1.1x multiplier. Although not big, it is still not bad.

If you land 2 Clovers, you will be getting a 1.6x multiplier reward. That’s already better than landing 3 Sevens. If you land 3 Clovers, you get a 5x multiplier, which is quite a lot.

Finally, if you land 2 Horse Shoes, you receive the 2.5x price multiplier. Quite neat, if we’re being honest. And if you land 3 Horse Shoes you get the maximum multiplier of 10x.

For a scratch card game, this is quite a high multiplier, especially considering the odds of the game.

Return To Player (RTP) & Game Volatility

Scratch comes with an RTP of 97%, which is the RTP of all Spribe games. This percentage is way better than the RTP of many video slots, which gives players an advantage.

The RTP is usually calculated through a simulation made by software providers. Most often, it is calculated out of a total of 10 million bets, resulting in the total return to player rate. This means that the longer you play, the closer you will be getting to the 97% RTP.

As for the game volatility, you will be playing in a medium volatile environment. Unlike video slots, the volatility here is hard to calculate, because there’s a limited number of options, although the result is completely random every time.
