Plinko Casino Game Review

Plinko is a modified version of the well-known real-life betting game – Pachinko. Like most other Spribe games, Plinko also has a name that resembles the original game it was inspired by. This is actually quite convenient because you know what to expect or can recognize the game it was inspired from the get-go.

When you launch Plinko you will be met with these very soothing colors and minimalistic design. You will notice that Plinko is a very simplified version of Pachinko, in the form of a pyramid-looking shape.

Depending on the device you play on, or the mode you have your browser opened in, the betting section will be located on the right-hand side, but more about that topic in a moment.

So what exactly is Plinko? Plinko is a game whereupon the start of the round a ball will start dropping from the top of a pyramid-shaped object, which has pins. These pins redirect the ball randomly until it falls to the bottom of the “pyramid”.

On the bottom are located different numbers in green, orange, and red. These numbers represent a multiplier. This multiplier is instantly applied to your betting amount once the ball falls to the bottom and the round is over.

Let’s explore each of these 3 rows (green, orange, and red).

Green is the section where you will be seeing the least volatile results. However, exactly because of that, there are only three slots that will give you a lower or the same multiplier. To be more precise, in the middle of the row we have the 0.5x multiplier. On each side of the 0.5x, you have 1x, 1.1x, 1.2x, 1.3x, 1.6x, 3.2x, and 18x.

Worst case scenario you lose half of your bet amount, which is great in comparison to other games where you lose your whole bet. Yet, the maximum multiplier of 18x is very hard to land and also not too rewarding.

Yellow is the row where the stakes are higher, but the rewards are also higher. The row has a 0.2x multiplier in the middle. On either side, it has the other multipliers 0.7x, 1x, 1.6x, 3.2x, 5.6x, 12x, and 55x. This time, there are three squares in total where you can lose some of your bet. However, the max multiplier of 55x is quite the increase from the 18x multiplier.

Finally, we have the Red row. This is where things get exciting for high-stake players. In the middle, you have the 0x multiplier, meaning you lose your whole bet. On each side of the 0x multiplier you have 0.2x, 0.5x, 2.1x, 5.3x, 14x, 49x, and 353x. Although this time there are 5 slots in total where you can lose money, the maximum multiplier of 353x is almost a 7x increase from the yellow row’s max multiplier.

On top of all that, there are 3 options where you can choose the number of pins. These are 12, 14, and 16 pins. Depending on the number, the maximum multiplier will be getting bigger, while all other multipliers will be a bit lower.

The rows we discussed previously are part of the 14-pins version of the game.

Placing a bet is quite easy. You just need to type in an amount from $0.10 up to $100 or use one of the presets $1, $3, $5, or $10. Once you’ve set your bet, just double-click on the Green, Yellow, or Red button options and watch the round begin.

Return To Player (RTP) & Game Volatility

On Spribe’s official website, we can find information about the RTP. If you didn’t know, all Spribe games come with a 97% RTP. This includes Plinko (97% RTP).

If you compare this rate with other casino games, such as video slots, the rate is quite high. The gold standard for slots is 96% RTP.

The volatility of the game will solely depend on how you decide to play it. This is one of the unique things about Spribe games, making it such an attraction for all sorts of players.

Depending on the number of pins you choose and depending on the color of the row you choose, you will be playing in different volatility. For example, betting on the Green row in a 12-pin game will bring you the lowest amount of volatility. On the other hand, if you bet on the Red row in the 16-pin mode, you will be playing in a highly volatile setting.

Tips & Tricks

Plinko is no different than other Spribe games when it comes to “abuse of mechanics” or “hacks”. Simply put, there is no such thing. Although there are people claiming to know ways of winning bigger, there actually is no such strategy. Instead, there is a strategy to minimize the risk, which we will be exploring in a moment.

Outside of that, having a good understanding of the game will be very important. There are always ways to maximize the chances of having an acceptable iGaming experience.

But let’s not waste any more time and see how you can improve your Plinko gameplay. Keep in mind that these are tips for complete beginners, so if you already have experience with this type of machine, you can skip over this step.

Playing the Demo version of any casino game is crucial mainly because there are many games that look enjoyable, but might not be the right one for you.

On top of that, the Demo version lets you try out different strategies and techniques, allowing you to try and minimize the risk of losing funds. This leads us directly to your second suggestion, or rather, tip.

With that being said, let us explain our second tip. It is to try and play around with the volatility of the game. This usually leads to a solid reduction of the risk involved when playing.

Allow us to break this strategy down. It involves betting on each of these rows at different times. Let’s say you want to make 50 bets in total. 30 of these bets will be on the Green row. 15 will be on the Orange row, and 5 will be on the Red row.

This way you will stay at relatively low volatility throughout most of the gameplay; you will remain in the medium volatility for a third of the gameplay and will make a couple of bets in the highly volatile zone.

If you ever get greedy, we suggest doing that by betting on the Green row, where the chances of losing are slimmer. Aside from that, try to keep your bets in a particular range. For example, make a promise to yourself to never bet more than $100 a day or $5 per round (the amount may vary).

Closing Thoughts

Just as you might’ve expected, Plinko is yet another great addition to Spribe’s unique game library. Plinko, in particular, is a lot more interactive than some other games on the market. There are many great ways to play the game through combinations of rows, different pin numbers, and betting amounts.

Of course, the game is purely based on luck, unlike other Spribe games such as Aviator, where your “trigger-finger” is also involved. We suggest at least checking the Demo version of the game and seeing how you enjoy it.
