Million 88

Million 88 Slot Review

Million 88 is a slot that reminisces about the good old gaming days, with unpolished and experimental graphics and music, but in this case, it was done on purpose by the developer Red Rake.

The layout is 6 reels, 10 rows, with 1 000 000 ways to win, which probably sounds unrealistic, but we will explain how it works in a moment. Additionally, the bets range from $0.20 all the way up to $50 per spin, with the chance of landing an x300 multiplier.

You will be playing with an RTP of 95.30%, which is too low, considering the current standard is 96%, and although this might not hurt you in the short term, you can expect a higher risk the more you play. Additionally, the game has low to medium volatility.

Theme & Symbols

As previously mentioned, the game will bring that nostalgic feeling of the games released in the late 90s, early 00s, with purposeful clunky design and playful music.

There aren't many unique symbols here, nor any that will be unexpected. You will be coming across Diamonds, Bells, 88s, Sevens, Ms, Golden W (Wild), Cash, Coins, X, Watermelon, Lemon, Orange, Bar, Strawberry, Horseshoe (Bonus), Bomb and some others.

Bonus Features

At first, you will notice that not everything on the layout is filled with slots. This is because, once the "Bomb" explodes (lands), you will be getting symbols in the rows around the bomb.

One feature we think you need to know about is the Frenzy, which is triggered by the golden M if you land 3 or more in combination. The middle reel is then turned into a mini-game that features 5 different rows, during which you can multiply your winnings, or get Free Spins, or enter a card game, where the goal is to flip all cards and land different types of 7s. Once you match 2 of them, the game ends.

The X symbol is the way you will be getting to the highest potential winnings as it brings either 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x multipliers.

Mobile Support

Million 88 is well-optimized for your iOS or Android devices, allowing for an easy transition from desktop to mobile, due to the fact that there is only one major difference between both versions, which is the placement of the buttons. On mobile devices, the navigation buttons can be found on the right, whereas on the desktop version, they can be found on the bottom left and bottom right of the screen.

Conclusion

Million 88 is a slot that features a classic theme with a twist and nostalgic feeling. You can expect it to keep you busy with its unorthodox number of reels and rows and interesting mini-games. Sadly, we cannot really recommend the slot as it offers a worse-than-average RTP of 95.30%.
